Lt. Col. Jonathan H. Vaughn, a Cleveland, Ohio native graduated from St. Ignatius High School and the University of Illinois. He then commissioned into the Marine Corps in 1999, while enrolled at Case Western Reserve University School of Law. On the podcast he discusses being raised by his grandparents, a 4X State Placer, 2X State Champion, 4X National Qualifier in wrestling, serving in support of Operation IRAQI Freedom in Fallujah, and receiving a Purple Heart for his courageous effort.
